The Northeast’s Premiere Skynyrd Tribute Band

Sons of Skynyrd band has been playing venues large and small, all over the northeast United States for over 20+ years.  Their show includes all the classic hits of the Lynyrd Skynyrd band including Free Bird, Sweet Home Alabama, Simple Man, Call Me The Breeze, Gimme Three Steps, Tuesdays Gone, ‘T’ for Texas and so many more!  Upon request, they also add in hits by Southern Rock favorites such as The Allman Brothers Band, Molly Hatchet & Marshall Tucker Band to name a few.

They are the “truest” sounding Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Band in the Northeast featuring an All-Star band of players, bringing you the triple lead guitar attack, or as Skynyrd’s 3 lead guitarists were dubbed, “the 3 guitar army”, that gave Lynyrd Skynyrd their unique sound. For this reason Sons Of Skynyrd gives you all 3 guitar lead parts (something that the 2 guitars tribute bands just can’t provide). This ensures the audience of SONS OF SKYNYRD the experience of being back at a concert of the original

Sons of Skynyrd have played to thousands and are featured performing their epic recreation of ‘Free Bird’ in the Emmy Award Nominated NETFLIX movie ‘The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt vs. The Reverend’ written & produced by Tina Fey and starring Ellie Kemper, John Ham, Daniel Radcliffe, Carol Kane and Jane Krakowski.  Band members will also be appearing in the 2nd season of NETFLIX’s ‘ The Four Seasons’ starring Tina Fey, Will Forte and Coleman Domingo. 

High profile shows include theaters and festivals, recently opening for ‘The Outlaws’ and past events such as  ‘NASCAR Winston Cup Series Pocono Race’ pre-race show, the ‘Convoy Truck’ and ‘Big Rig Shows’  at Long Island’s MacArthur Airport and ‘Full Throttle’s’ weekly bike night. 

Members have been the opening act for headliners such as Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws, Charlie Daniels Band, Marshall Tucker Band, Rick Derringer and Leslie West and Mountain.  Sons of Skynyrd members have also many times played with Artimus Pyle, the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame drummer of Lynyrd Skynyrd.

After the tragic passing of their beloved lead singer Bryan Williams in early 2025, the band struggled with the idea of continuing on and was calling it quits.  However, after months and some deep soul searching, the decision was eventually made to retool the band and conduct an extensive search for a new lead singer that embodies the spirit of Lynyrd Skynyrd…no small feat.  After auditioning many candidates, the search is over and a reborn Sons Of Skynyrd has emerged as tight as ever and with a new energy to continue the legacy!
